Current Operational Focus

We are currently limiting chapter operations to three specific areas to reduce overhead. Everything else is currently out of scope.

  1. Stewardship: Defining clear ownership for scope, signals, and exceptions.
  2. Health Checks: Monitoring roster freshness and ensuring members have clear next steps.
  3. Cloud Access Blocking: Immediate logging and resolution of access issues.

Active Ops Resources

These are the only live documents currently "in play." Review these before making changes to chapter operations.

1. Steward Roster

Purpose: Identifies who is currently accountable for scope, signals, and exceptions, including their response SLAs. → Open Steward Roster

2. Signals Roster

Purpose: Tracks the two active health metrics:

  • Roster Freshness: Is the list up to date?
  • Next Steps: Does every member leave sessions with a clear action item? → Open Signals Roster

3. Cloud-Access Exception Stub

Purpose: The mandatory log for access blockers. Use this to name an owner, set an expiry, and authorize temporary workarounds. → Open Cloud-Access Stub

Pre-Session Checklist

Complete this 3-point check before entering a Chapter Ops session:

  • Reality Check: Do the Steward roles listed above match the actual work being done?
  • Health Review: Are the Roster and "Next Step" signals green?
  • Blocker Scan: Are there open Cloud Access exceptions affecting the roadmap?

Note: Bring specific examples of friction ("where you had to improvise"), not just the metrics.

Managing Drift

We use this page as a system health indicator, not a scoreboard. When the signals above drift:

  • Process: We adjust session formats or information flow.
  • Roles: We rotate coverage if stewards are overloaded.
  • Tooling: We refine how blockers are logged.
